The Mountaineering Zeal of India

The entire North and North Eastern borders of India are covered with the great Himalayas. India is truly gifted with the enormous biodiversity. The exquisite mountain ranges of the India open the doors for the practice of thrilling sports in the Nation. India is considered as one of the best terrains to practice mountaineering. Yet India is unable to grow this sport in the Nation. The fact is that, till date, India is unable to completely haul the sport of Mountaineering. Mountaineering is a sport that is considered as the sport of other league. The records state that in India there are only three institutes that impart the training for mountaineering. The institutes are present in Manali, Uttrakashi and Darjeeling. Other institutes in the country are affiliated to these institutes and run on smaller scales. The inadequacy of such institutes leads to the obscured fame of the sport of mountaineering. Taking down another reason for the non-popularity of Mountaineering in India is that there are many few who know about it. One who is willing to do mountaineering needs to create a team, but collecting a team is a difficult task. One of the biggest hurdles of mountaineers is to look for a sponsor for their expeditions. The participation in mountaineering can take a lot of money from your pocket. That is why it becomes essential to be sponsored.
