Chess is the game of popular pastimes and has been described as the art and science. The two player strategy board game is known for its elite players of Kings, Queens, Rooks, Knights, Bishops and Pawn. The game is often seen as the abstract of ‘Mental Martial Art’. It was in the late 600 AD when Chess evolved for the first time and today the modern manufacturing methods are indulged to give a mass production to the game. Indian Origin: The history of Chess unfolds the fascinating tales from divergent countries on the Globe. Various Scholars from numerous Nations have proposed various origins for Chess. The exact time and place of origin of chess is always debated. The Chess is known as the descendent of a game called Chaturanga which was played in 600 AD in India. Chaturanga is a Sanskrit word that refers to the Army divisions that includes Elephants, Chariots, Cavalry and Infantry. Indians claim the origin of Chess from the times of Mahabharata. It is believed that the game portrays the Indian Military Strategies.

Persian and Arabian Origin: The Persian Empire relevance to the origin of chess was known as the Sasanian dynasty or the Sassanid Empire and ruled Iran. In the Arabian Empire, after the death of Prophet Muhammad in 632 A.D, the Persian Empire had been conquered by the Moslem Empire.
